Laundromat Safety Tips & Tricks
With these handy laundromat safety tips, your trip to the laundromat can be a pleasant, uneventful experience. Try them all today. We recommend when you first get to a laundromat, read the rules posted on the walls and laundry carts so that you are not taken by surprise. Each laundromat is operated slightly differently.

Never Leave Your Laundry Unattended!
We see it all the time, people start their washer or dryer and come back to an empty machine. This is why we can’t stress this enough. Never, ever leave your laundry unattended not even for a second. Because, unfortunately, if you leave your laundry and go run errands or sit in your car, the chance that your laundry will be waiting for you when you get back is pretty slim.
Help keep your laundry visit safe by monitoring your personal belongings while at the store. If items do turn up missing, you’ll need to contact the police just as if you had something stolen from you in any other public place. It’s not the laundromat’s responsibility.

Cart Riding Is For Laundry Only
You’ve seen the 10-year-old kid in the cart at the grocery store, and the laundromat is no exception. If there is a wheeled device, kids will play. However, accidents happen all the time because people use these laundry carts for human conveyances. Laundry carts are for laundry only. Never let your kids ride in or play on the carts. Not only is it unsafe, but it could lead to store and cart damage.
Please help us keep the laundry carts in working order, sanitary, and for laundry use only. Never ride in a laundry cart.

Folding Tables Are Not For Play
The laundromat will have tables that you can use to fold your laundry. Since your laundry is clean when you use these tables, ideally these tables should be sanitized before you put your clean laundry on the table to fold it. We suggest that you carry some lysol wipes with you to the laundromat, so that you can sanitize the door handles, laundry carts, and tables. After all, you never know what was there before you were.
Folding tables are high off the ground so that you can fold items without bending or stooping. For this reason, never, ever put a child onto a folding table. We even suggest that you don’t put anything liquid or breakable on these tables. If it were to fall or get knocked off it could create a hazard to others. Please, help keep your time at the laundromat safe for yourself and others too, and use the folding areas for laundry only.
